At the ongoing plenary session in Brussels, the Committee of the Regions adopted an opinion on the European Neighbourhood Policy review. Mr Jacek Protas, Marshal of Warmińsko-Mazurskie region and member of the Executive Board of Euroregion Baltic has been the rapporteur of the opinion.
>During a working visit to Moscow on 14th December 2011, Mr Radosław Sikorski, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr Sergey Lavrov, Russian Federation’s Minister of Foreign Affairs signed the Agreement on local border traffic between Poland and Russian Federation.
>On 12th December 2012 the Euroregion Baltic Executive Board held an on-line meeting to discuss the ERB Action Plan 2012-2013.
>Between 1st November and 8th December 2011 Mr Roland Gustbée, Vice-President of Euroregion Baltic visited all ERB member organisations to discuss future joint activities and areas of cooperation that could potentially bring the most added value to the ERB member regions and be included in the preparation of the ERB Action Plan 2012-2013.
>The Euroregion Baltic Task Force on Future EU Cohesion Policy has met recently to discuss next steps with respect to the draft EU Cohesion Policy regulations.
>On 1st December 2011 the European Parliament supported the European Commission’s proposal to amend the Regulation No 1931/2006 on local border traffic on the external borders of European Union concerning the inclusion of the Kaliningrad Region.
>On 15-16th November 2011 in Hamburg, Germany the Baltic Sea labour Network project held its final conference.
>In November 2011 Mr Roland Gustbée, Vice-President of Euroregion Baltic is holding a series of meetings with high-ranking representatives of the ERB member organisations.
